4. WEEKLY REVIEW BY J.I.C., A.F.H.Q. ON THE SITUATION IN THE BALKANS. THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a telegram from Allied Force Headquarters (F.20867 dated 4th February, 1945) suggesting that as the strategical situation had materially altered since the above reviews were begun, and as they were now of little value for the allocation of bombing targets the reviews should be dispensed with. Duplication with other routine reports would also be avoided. THE SUB-COMMITTEE:Agreed that the Weekly Balkan Review should be discontinued, and instructed the Secretary to inform the Joint Intelligence Committee, Allied Force Headquarters accordingly.
