CENSORSHIP DURING THE TRANSITION PERIOD (Previous reference J.I.C.(44) 59th Meeting (0) Minute 3) THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a Minute by the Secretary (J.I.C./117/45 dated 27th January, 1945) covering a letter to the Chairman from Sir Robert Reid of the Postal and Telegraph Censorship Department and a Minute by the Secretary (J.I.C./103/45 dated 25th January. 1945) covering a progress report by the Chairman of the Standing InterDepartmental Committee on Censorship (S.C.C.(44) 293 dated 22nd December, 1944) outlining further proposals for censorship procedure for the period between the surrender of Germany and the defeat of Japan.
