The Admiralty would be opposed to the processing of these documents in a Central Documents Section. Moreover, the proposed centralised study of documents would involve an additional manpower commitment which could not at present be met. THE DIRECTOR OF MILITARY INTELLIGENCE suggested that a Central Document Section in London should be responsible for the registration, micro-filming and distribution of all original documents brought back to this country without exceptions.
