The Australian Director of Military Intelligence was due to arrive in the U.K. on the 6th of September, the Director of Military Intelligence, S.E.A.C., on the 25th August, and the Director of Military Intelligence, India, on the 26th August. It would be necessary to make arrangements to invite the others whom it was proposed should attend. The Sub-Committee should prepare the agenda and carry out other preliminary work for the proposed conference. It would be an ideal solution to the problem if the Combined Chiefs of Staff were to issue a directive covering the whole field of Intelligence co-ordination in the Far East.
