GENERAL BURROWS said that he had found the Russians very unresponsive. For example he and General Deane had passed on the full information they had received from S.H.A.E.F. about the NEPTUNE Operation, but when the Russians attacked in the Karelian Isthmus, they had received from them only the baldest statement. He and General Deane had consequently cut down the information which they gave about the operations in France. They still, however, received practically no details of the situation on the Russian Front.
