THE SUB-COMMITTEE were informed that at meetings that had been held between representatives of the Service Departments it had been agreed generally that the most suitable procedure would be for the Service Attaches at posts abroad to represent their case for increased scale of allowances to the Heads of the Missions to which they were appointed. "X" It was hoped that requests for increased scale of allowances would then be sent to London endorsed by the Head of the Mission. One such request had already reached London from our Mission in Rio de Janeiro.
