3. OVERLORD SECURITY-CENSORSHIP LEAKAGES (Previous Reference J.I.C. (44) 24th Meeting (0), Item 6.) THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a minute by the Secretary, (J.I.C./857/44 dated 13th June, 1944) covering a draft report to the Chiefs of Staff commenting on a Note on the above subject by Sir Findlater Stewart. BRIGADIER ALLEN said that so much ventilation had been given to the censorship leakages that occurred both immediately before and after OVERLORD had been launched, that he thought the Sub-Committee should not advise the Chiefs of Staff to take any further action in the matter.
