1. Secrecy of Certain Meteorological Reports

1944

SECRECY OF CERTAIN METEOROLOGICAL REPORTS THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a Minute by the Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (A.C.A.S.(I) 135A/44 dated 8th June, 1944) covering a memorandum on the advantages and disadvantages of the issue in clear of meteorological reports for the Southern part of England. SIR NELSON JOHNSON said that for some time he had felt that we should reconsider our policy regarding the secrecy of meteorological information. This information was of less value to the enemy now that he was on the defensive than when he was on the offensive.
