SECURITY OF "OVERLORD" THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a Minute by the Secretary (J.I.C./496/44) dated 29th March 1944) covering draft telegrams to the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committees in Algiers, Middle East and India, recommending that special steps be taken to prevent the unauthorised disclosure of information relating to OVERLORD. THE SUB-COMMITTEE:(i) Agreed to the despatch of the telegrams as drafted, subject to Sir Findlater Stewart's concurrence which they invited Brigadier Allen to obtain.
