THE SUB-COMMITTEE:(i) Expressed their gratitude to Sir Harold Hartley and his Sub-Committee for their valuable Memorandum: (ii) Approved the Memorandum and agreed that it should be submitted to the Deputy Prime Minister together with a covering Note to be drafted in consultation with the Ministry of Economic Warfare, drawing attention to the main points which emerged: (iii) Agreed that the Memorandum should be sent to the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee in Washington for discussion with the Staff of the Coordinator of Petroleum: (iv) Invited Sir Harold Hartley to discuss the Memorandum with the American oil representatives in this country: (v) Invited the Technical Sub-Committee on Axis Oil to investigate the suggestion at 'X' above: (vi) Invited the Technical Sub-Committee on Axis Oil to make recommendations as suggested at 'Y' above.
