THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a Note by the Secretary (J.I.C.(42) 120) covering correspondence exchanged between the Director of Naval Intelligence and the Director General of the Security Service regarding the dangers that might arise from the publication after the war of memoirs by officers and others who had knowledge of secret matters derived from their official employment.
