1. GERMAN CASUALTIES. THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a copy of a telegram from Washington, No. 4377 Arfar dated the 30th September, 1942, addressed to Colonel Vickers by Colonel Bebb on the subject of the differences between the American estimate of German casualties and our own, which had been circulated personally to each Director of Intelligence. In discussion, it was suggested that a joint discussion between representatives of the War Office and of the Ministry of Economic Warfare and American representatives now in this country should be held to attempt to reconcile the difference which existed between the American estimate of German casualties and our own.
