1. SECURITY AT GIBRALTAR. THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a letter, No. P403, dated 3rd February, 1942, circulated by the Director of Naval Intelligence to the members of the Sub-Committee. THE DIRECTOR OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE stated that there was no doubt that the enemy were receiving information regarding naval and other shipping movements and it was probable that the leakage occurred at Gibraltar. MR. WHITE gave the Sub-Committee an account of the situation at Gibraltar as to security as he found it on his recent visit.
