Indications as to enemy knowledge of our plans. Consideration was given to the question of whether it was possible to find out the extent of the information as to our plans which the enemy had actually received. THE SUB-COMMITTEE were informed that a watch was being kept in the War Office on German papers in order that all references giving, or purporting to give, specific information as to our plans, might be noted. It was considered that it would be of value if a similar watch could be kept on the neutral press, and if M.I.6 could investigate the extent to which our recent plans had become known to the enemy.
