(ii) Instructed the Inter-Services Cypher and W/T Security Committee to examine and report on the machinery it would be necessary to set up for the coding of commercial telegrams. 3. PRIORITY FOR WORK AT THE CENTRAL INTERPRETATION UNIT. (Reference J.I.C. (41) 407 (Restricted Circulation)). THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a Memorandum by the Director of Naval Intelligence asking that urgent demands on the Central Interpretation Unit by the Inter-Services Topographical Department should be regarded on an inter-service basis and given a high degree of priority.
