BRIGADIER ALLEN informed the Sub-Committee that this matter was still under examination and that he had not received any further replies other than those which had been circulated personally to the members of the Sub-Committee. THE SUB-COMMITTEE:took note that this matter was still under examination and that Brigadier Allen would report results in due course. 4. MIDDLE EAST INTELLIGENCE CENTRE. THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a telegram* from the Commanders-in-Chief, Middle East which dealt in considerable detail with a proposal to improve the combined intelligence arrangements in the Middle East.
