Transmission of Intelligence to the British Liaison Mission in Moscow

1940

"(b) instructed the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee, in conjunction with Brigadier Menzies, to work out a scheme for transmitting highly secret information and intelligence to General Macfarlane." BRIGADIER MENZIES explained that a scheme had been evolved between himself and the Service Departments whereby information on the broadest possible lines should be sent to our Mission in Moscow. He emphasised that this information should be transmitted in such a manner that he could be satisfied that our sources of information were not compromised.
