(b) instructed the Secretary to draft a telegram to the Commanders-in-Chief, Far East and China explaining the American proposal, and to include in the telegram relevant extracts from the Chiefs of Staff directive. (c) to invite the War Office to despatch the telegram at (b) above when approved by the Sub-Committee. 2. NORTHERN IRELAND SECURITY CONDITIONS DURING THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN BASES. THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a note by the Secretary (J.I.C.(41) 242) covering a memorandum by the Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (I).
