After discussion THE SUB-COMMITTEE agreed:To defer consideration of this matter until their next meeting to be held after an interval of not more than one week, unless in the meantime the Foreign Office representative at the weekly meeting of S.O.2. had arrived at a satisfactory arrangement with that Department. 2. PUBLICATIONSIIN WARTIME SECURITY. THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a Note by the Secretary (J.I.C.(41) 126) covering a Memorandum by the Director of Military Intelligence. After discussion THE SUB-COMMITTEE agreed:(a) to invite the Directors of Intelligence to review their organisation for dealing with publications by members of the fighting forces; (b) to invite Directors of Intelligence to issue appropriate instructions on this matter to their representatives in the Ministry of Information.
