2. PROVISION OF TOPOGRAPHICAL INTELLIGENCE. THE SUB-COMMITTEE had under consideration a Note by the Secretary (J.I.C.(41) 82) as amended by a further Note (J.I.C.(41) 93). THE CHAIRMAN stated that there was little that remained for the Sub-Committee to do in this matter as the Standing Sub-Committee under the Chairmanship of the Director of Naval Intelligence had already come into being. The only question that remained for decision was as to how the requirements of the Director of Combined Operations and the Special Operations Executive could be included in the Priority Lists for the Topographical Section THE SECRETARY informed the Sub-Committee that the Joint Planning Staff had now agreed to send their Priority Lists to the Director of Combined Operations and to the 'X' Special Operations Executive and to invite these bodies to make suggestions where necessary for any additions to or alterations in those lists After discussion THE SUB-COMMITTEE agreed:(i) That the Director of Combined Operations and the Special Operations Executive should be invited to put up their requirements for topographical information through the Joint Planning Staff in accordance with the arrangement described at 'X'; (ii) That if either the Director of Combined Operations or the Special Operations Executive found any difficulty in the operation of the scheme as now devised they should inform the Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence who would arrange for their attendance at a meeting of the Standing Sub-Committee at the Admiralty; (iii) That a Report should be prepared in two or three weeks as to the progress of the Topographical Section; (iv) To take note of J.I.C.(41) 82 and J.I.C.
