2. APPRECIATION OF THE AIR SITUATION AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT. THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a note by the Secretary, Paper No. J.I.C.(40) 58, explaining the circumstances under which the Commonwealth of Australia had asked for a short review of the air situation. The Sub-Committee appreciated the fact that this request raised the question of high policy, i.e., the amount of information to be given to the Commonwealth of Australia. THE AIR MINISTRY REPRESENTATIVE explained that, so far, he had not been able to prepare a draft report.
