3. INFORMATION TO SERVICE AUTHORITIES ABROAD. (Papers Nos. J.I.C.(40) 32 and 33). THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a note by the Secretary (Paper No. J.I.C. (40) 33) setting out a suggested procedure for implementing the instructions of the Chiefs of Staff, that co-ordinated information should be sent periodically to Naval, Military and Air Forces abroad, which had been circulated in Paper No. J.I.C. (40) 32. The proposed procedure was designed to ensure that each Service would be able to include in telegrams to its own authorities abroad, co-ordinated items of information about the activities of the other Services.
