with any particular subject of investigation, would be facilitated. It was also felt that the advice of such a Centre might be of value in stimulating the collection of scientific information. It was suggested that collaboration with the French in this matter might produce valuable results. In this connexion it was pointed out that the French had recently been giving close attention to the co-ordination of scientific activities bearing on defence; and that, for this purpose, they had set up special central machinery.
