3. INFORMATION TO COMMANDERS-IN-CHIEF HOME FLEET, HOME FORCES, AND FIGHTER AND BOMBER COMMANDS. (Paper No. J.I.C. (39) 34). THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a memorandum by the War Office (Paper No. J.I.C. (39) 34), proposing means by which information might be made available for Commandersin-Chief at Home. During the discussion it became evident that the War Office was the only Department immediately concerned in this matter. THE SUB-COMMITTEE agreed:that each Service Department would remain responsible for transmitting information to its own Commanders-in-Chief, and would, when necessary, consult the other Service Intelligence Departments as to items of information which lay outside its own sphere.
