Report No. 1. Anti-aircraft (Artillery) Defence

1 Jun 1937

8. As the war has progressed and targets have become more dispersed, A.A. defences on the Government side have been located for the local defence of principal cities, on the East Coast particularly. There has been nothing to show that the Insurgent A.A. batteries have been widely dispersed over the areas occupied by their troops but it seems that they have been in some measure co-ordinated to the defence of:(i) Seville, Cadiz, Burgos, Salamanca, Palma. (ii) Aerodromes, notably at Seville and in Majorca.
