prepared very detailed documentary and diagrammatical statistics of all air raids which had taken place, which gave a great deal of valuable information. On the air raid precautions side, it seemed that the Spaniards had a love of paper work and had produced statistics in great detail, which were not, of course, published in the local newspapers. It appeared, however, that the Government authorities were reluctant to impart information through official channels, but were quite prepared to be expansive to unofficial visitors, provided they considered the latter sympathetic to their cause.
