Military Missions in Eastern and South Eastern Theatres of War. Report

1 Jun 1938

Pay and Allowances. 5. All members of the staff, officers and other ranks, will receive the normal rates of pay and allowances of their rank under arrangements to be made by the Services concerned. The question of entertainment or other local allowances require special consideration. It is thought that the most suitable arrangement will be to give a special entertainment allowance to the head of the Mission, and local allowances to each officer based on the cost of living in each country. The Service attaches are being asked to recommend suitable scales for these allowances.
