ENCLOSURE TO ANNEX. BRITISH AIRWAYS LIMITED. General Notice to Pilots, No.36 of 1939. DIPLOMATIC MAIL. The following regulations govern the procedure to be adopted by Pilots when in command of aircraft carrying Diplomatic Mail. 1. GENERAL. Diplomatic Mail is that handed over to the Company by a Government Department or a British Mission, under pre-arranged diplomatic privilege with the authority of the British Foreign Office. This mail is the personal responsibility of the Commander of the aircraft upon which it is carried, until it is finally handed over the the accredited British Government representative, who will be on hand to receive it at the airport of destination.
