ANNEX II. NOTE ON PROPOSED COMBINED INTELLIGENCE CENTRE AT MALTA AND GIBRALTAR. 1. The setting up of a Middle East Combined Intelligence Centre has now been authorised, and it is suggested that the next step should be to bring Malta and Gibraltar into the picture, not only to provide intelligence of Italian, Spanish and North African activities for Whitehall as at present, but to co-operate with the Middle East Intelligence Centre. 2. It is believed that Admiralty and Air Ministry agree in principle with the formation of a Combined Intelligence Centre at each of these places.
