Exchange of Intelligence Between British and French Staffs. Note by the Secretary

2 3. With regard to preparations for war, the position is as follows :— (a) Admiralty. Five individual British Officers have been earmarked for liaison duties with the French Navy as follows :— Atlantic Squadron (Flagship). Mediterranean Squadron (Flagship). Dunkirk. Oran. Brest. Liaison with the French Ministry of Marine will be effected by the Naval Attaché, who will be provided with a small staff. French liaison with the Admiralty is to be effected by a French ViceAdmiral with a small staff.
