INTRODUCTION This report embraces all the available information on the subject of air attack on oil fuel storage from the commencement of the Spanish Civil War until the end of February, 1938. Although the lessons to be learnt from the SinoJapanese War are not strictly within the scope of this paper, a report of the effect of a bomb dropped on the Asiatic Petroleum Company's oil fuel sub-installation at Yangtsepoo is attached as Appendix F. 2. Appendix A gives a summary of the air attacks which have been reported.
