Minutes of Meetings. Minute from Minister for Co-ordination of Defence to Secretary, Committee of Imperial Defence

1 Jun 1937

Copy of a Minute from the Minister for Co-ordination of Defence to the secretary, Committee of Imperial Defence. SECRETARY. I notice a tendency for the minutes of meetings of Sub-Committees of the C.I.D. to be somewhat unduly lengthy. In View of the very large number of SubCommittees now in action this involves a good deal of extra work, not only upon the Secretariat and the Clerical Staff of the C.I.D. but also upon the members of the Sub-Committees who are required to check the drafts. 2. I recognise, of course, that it is difficult to lay down any hard and fast rule in this matter.
