Subjects covered in the file include the transfer of money to the British embassy in Cairo for propaganda purposes, proposals to use funds to gain the support of influential Egyptians "through their pockets", the need to counter similar German and Italian schemes, the source of funding for these operations, and the necessity of continuing to fund the Egyptian press even after the end of the war in North Africa to prevent an outbreak of anti-British feeling in Egypt.
