Subjects covered in the file include plans for the creation of organisations in East Asia to infiltrate Japanese territory and purchase stocks of rubber, agar, quinine, and other resources, and the funding of these operations; means and costs of obtaining Chinese dollars in order to purchase rubber from occupied areas of China, through commercial transactions and illicit trade in precious stones; and the end of the operation to extract quinine due to new sources of quinine from the United States of America and the Belgian Congo.
