Special Operations Executive (SOE): contracts through Ministry of Supply

The file focusses mainly on the acquisition of wireless transmitter components from the United States of America for British intelligence networks in Nazi-occupied Europe, with a discussion on the provision of such supplies to Polish resistance fighters. The file also contains a number of itemised expenditure accounts listing different types of equipment used on SOE operations, including weapons, medical supplies, survival equipment, Japanese and German military uniforms and other disguises, camouflage clothing, cigarettes, dinghies and landing craft, counterfeit documents, electrical equipment, photographic apparatus, and equipment for the sabotage of railways and submarines.
