Following memorandum (CCS 867/6) has been received from U.S. Chiefs of Staff. BEGINS. 1. The United States Chiefs of Staff have considered possible extensions of the co-ordinated photographic mapping program in the European Theater. The great strategic importance of Turkey and its relatively poor map coverage make that country a logical choice for an aerial survey.
