Enticement of German Scientists & Technicians

22 Jul 1946

-COPYIntelligence Division, Naval Staff, Admiralty, S.W.1. Secretary, J.I.C. Enticement of German Scientists and Technicians. (J.I.C./1066/46) Although the examination by the J.S.I.C. (J.I.C./1066/46) of the evidence supplied by J.I.C. (C.C.G.) shows that there is little indication so far that Russian efforts to entice German scientists and technicians from the British Zone have been successful, is clear that there has been extensive recruitment of German brain-power from Berlin, and that this problem in the British Zone may well become shortly a very serious one, even if we cannot say positively that it has already reached that stage.
