(i) Washington If Washington were used it might be desirable to set up a Joint Commonwealth Staff there. As to this General Chapman of the Australian Commonwealth Forces, has already told D.M.I. that he would like to co-operate in a Joint Commonwealth Staff for dealing with intelligence material. The D.M.I. understood that the Americans would not object at present to such an organisation.
