EXTRACTS FROM LETTER FROM INTELLIGENCE DIVISION GERMANY INT.DIV/H.Q./67/4 (Circulated under J.I.C./916/46) Enticement of German Scientists and Technicians by the Russians We were requested by the Joint Intelligence SubCommittee, London, in SAVOY 22 (60359 CCLB of 14 June, 46) to send them, as a matter of urgency, a co-ordinated list of names of German scientists and technicians who have gone or are going to the Russian Zone of Germany or to Russia itself. It was stated that there was a further urgent requirement, for the Chiefs of Staff, of evidence that the ban on bringing wives and families of German scientists to the U.K.
