German Long Range Rockets

17 Oct 1942

MOST SECRET UNITED STATES MEMORANDUM POSSIBLE GERMAN ROCKET-PROPELLED GUIDED MISSILE (DO-GERAET) 1. Intelligence reports reaching this office strongly indicate the contemplated use by the Germans of a large rocket-propelled guided missile. From the evidence at hand it appears that the "secret" weapon so frequently mentioned by prisoners of war and others is a huge rocket projectile subject to remote control by radio and which is designed to carry either gas or some form of explosive. This explosive is referred to as liquid air and an unknown chemical.
