SECRET and he did not think that an extra Soviet Attache in London would make much difference to us. MR. FURNIVAL JONES said that it was not true to say that an extra Soviet Attache in London would not make any difference from the point of view of the Security Service. The latter would prefer that the number of Soviet Attaches should not be increased, although they would not be adamant on this point. There was increasing evidence of more activity on the part of Soviet officials here and especially of Service Attaches.
