CONFIDENTIAL U.K.EYES ONLY 3. VISIT BY THE DEPUTY DIRECTORS OF SCIENTIFIC INTELLIGENCE TO CANADA MR. YOUNG informed the Committee that he had recently visited Canada to advise the Canadians on their organisation for scientific intelligence. During his visit he had impressed on the Canadians that they must obtain their own sources of intelligence and that, although they need intelligence for defensive purposes, they must seek it outside Canada and not merely be content with such information as could be obtained locally.
