4. SECRET MILITARY SITUATION IN AND AROUND TRIESTE THE COMMITTEE considered a draft report,+ prepared by the Joint Intelligence Staff, on the 'Military Situation in and around Trieste' MAJOR GENERAL STRONG said that he understand that this report had been prepared as a result of a request from General Brownjohn. He suggested that the Committee should be constantly considering, during their Perimeter Review, whether obviously important developments, such as the Trieste situation, should not be made the subject of a full report, in anticipation of a report being called for by the Chiefs of Staff.
