GUARD TOP SECRET PLANNING ASSUMPTIONS FOR THE LATER STAGES OF A GENERAL WAR THE COMMITTEE considered a fourth revised draft report* on planning assumptions for the later stages of a general war. In a discussion a number of amendments were agreed. It was suggested that if the rates of loss for Soviet naval and tectical air forces were different, the assumptions for each force should be shown separately in paragraph 14. 'X' A.C.A.S.(I) was invited to check the figures and see whether this could be done.
