SECRET 2. EXCHANGE OF INTELLIGENCE BETWEEN MAJOR N.A.T.O. COMMANDS AND ASSOCIATED COMMANDS (Previous reference: J.I.C. (52)107th Meeting, Minute 2 dated 1st October, 1952). THE COMMITTEE had before them u minute by the Secretaryø referring to:(a) a telegram+ from SACHUR to the Standing Group, Washington, requesting authority to disclose to the British Commanders-in-Chief, Middle East, on a 'need to know' basis, classified N.A.T.O. information and intelligence available to SACEUR, including COSMIC TOP SECRET, but excluding original intelligence furnished to S.H.A.P.E.
