After discussion, the Chairman's proposal was approved by the Committee. THE COMMITTEE:(1) Agreed that the economies proposed in the report by the Chairman of the Sub-Committee on B.B.C. Monitoring Requirements, could not be accepted. (2) Invited the Treasury to draft a report for the House of Commons Select Committee on Estimates on the lines indicated in the above discussions (3) Invited Departments to inform the Secretary of the Sub-Committee on B.B.C. Monitoring Requirements of any points which they considered should be included in the Treasury's report.
