J.I.B. attached the greatest importance to the continuation of the flow of defector information. MR. HOPSON said that it was true that there was no evidence that any member of the Soviet armed forces had defected as a direct result of our propaganda. This was not surprising, however, as the campaign of direct incitement had been started only very recently, and results would not be expected for some time. MR. HOHLER said that the campaign should be continued or abandoned mainly on its Intelligence value.
