RESTRICTED 1. MEETING WITH M. LE COLONEL PETIT THE CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Committee, welcomed M. le Colonel Petit, the French Director of Military Intelligence, to their meeting. After explaining the composition of the Committee and introducing the members, Mr. Reilly expressed the Committee's satisfaction at the increasingly close relations between the French and United Kingdom intelligence organisations, to their mutual benefit. He hoped that Colonel Petit would have a profitable visit to the United Kingdom, following the meeting in Washington where the United Kingdom team had already gained from Colonel Petit's advice and experience.
