DR. TRUSCOE then suggested that the five sorties specifically allocated to atomic weapon targets could be made available for any scientific targets considered to have priority at the time. This suggestion was generally approved, and it was decided to amend paragraphs 18, 21 and 24 of the J.A.P.I.B. report to include the words "or targets of vital importance to scientific intelligence", after the words "atomic weapons". THE COMMITTEE:(1) Took note that the views of the Joint Planning Staff on the draft report had been received and incorporated as far as possible.
