GUARD TOP SECRET 2. RELEASE OF INFORMATION ON EVASION ESCAPE AND RESCUE TO N.A.T.O. COUNTRIES. THE COMMITTEE had before them a minute by the Secretary= covering a memorandum from the Evasion and Escape Sub-Committee reporting a requirement for inter-Allied evasion and escape planning within S.H.A.P.E. and recommending that an approach be made to the Americans for consultation on that problem. GROUP CAPTAIN MEARS said that he had little to add to the memorandum except to stress that before any information on evasion and escape could be released to other N.A.T.O.
